Cleaning in Greenwood Village, offices after hours and houses by day
Cleaning in the Village is two businesses sharing one map. A suite off Fiddler's Green is bought by the night: same rooms, same route, done between the last person badging out and the first one arriving. Houses on the west side are bought by the visit, and the first visit always runs longer than the ones after it. Those two things do not schedule alike, so I keep them in separate parts of the day.
What Cleaning work looks like in Greenwood Village
- In the Tech Center towers the building's own crew usually has the lobby, the elevators and the common restrooms. Everything inside your suite door is the tenant's problem, and that line is where I work. Tell me where your building draws it and I will price to that instead of to a square foot rate off a floor plan.
- An office here does not put trash at a curb. It goes to a dock or a compactor on the building's schedule, and working late can mean a freight elevator with a cutoff time. The access route and who lets me in change the length of a visit more than the size of the suite does, so I ask about both before I quote nights.
- The big lots put a lot of the outside on the inside. Cottonwood fluff and grit at the entries in spring, leaf litter tracked through the mudroom into October. On a recurring visit in a Village house the entries, stairs and hard floors take more of the hour than the bedrooms do, and I would rather say that up front than pretend every room gets equal time.
- Move outs here run on two different clocks. One is a condo or apartment near Fiddler's Green with a lease end date and a walkthrough already on the calendar. The other is a west side house sitting empty after a sale or a downsize, which is closer to a two day job. Same service, nothing alike about the scheduling.
Who else does this here
More people clean for a living around here than mow or mount televisions. Something on the order of a hundred cleaning operators sit within five miles of the Village center, and no more than a handful give an address inside the city itself. Nearly everyone who cleans here drives in from somewhere else, so being local is not what separates one from another. Scheduling and getting there
Nine miles from me, about eighteen minutes outside of rush. Getting into the Tech Center at five in the afternoon is a different trip, so office visits start after that clears and houses get the middle of the day. I batch Greenwood Village into the same blocks each week, so a recurring stop here sits next to another Village stop instead of a run back across the metro.
When I am the wrong call
One person, one truck. A building that wants five nights a week across more than one floor is past what I can hold, and I would rather say so now than quit on you in month two. Deep cleans on the big west side houses run a full day or two, so they get scheduled out, not squeezed in. Some Tech Center towers also screen vendors before they hand out after hours access, and I might not get through that. Ask me early instead of planning around me.
