Privacy policy
Short version: I collect what I need to quote your job and do the work, I do not sell it, and I do not track you around the internet. The rest of this page is the same thing in more detail.
What I collect
When you contact me
The quote form asks for your name, how to reach you, the address of the property, and what you need done. I ask for the address because a quote for lawn or cleaning work that ignores the property is a guess, not a quote.
If you send photos of the job, I keep them until the work is finished and quoted.
When you just visit
This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no third party trackers, and does not build a profile of you. There is no Facebook pixel, no Google Ads remarketing tag, and no session recording.
The web host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, the pages you requested, and your browser type. Those are used to keep the site online and to spot abuse, and they age out on the host's normal schedule.
Basic, privacy respecting analytics tell me which pages people read and roughly where visitors come from, at the level of a city. They do not identify you, do not follow you to other sites, and do not require a cookie banner, which is why you did not get one.
What I do with it
- Answer your question and quote your job.
- Schedule and do the work, and get back to you afterward.
- Send an invoice and keep the records a business is required to keep.
- Understand which parts of this site are useful, in aggregate.
What I will never do with it
- Sell it, rent it, or trade it. Not to lead brokers, not to anyone.
- Add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote. If you want to hear from me, you have to say so.
- Share your address or the inside of your home with anyone who is not doing your job.
- Post a photo of your property without asking you first, every time, even after you have said yes once before.
Who else touches your information
I am one person, but a few services sit behind this business. Each one only gets what it needs.
- The web host. Serves this site and receives form submissions.
- Email. Where your message arrives and where I reply from.
- Invoicing and payments. Card details go to the payment processor directly. I never see or store a full card number.
- Analytics. Aggregate page statistics only.
None of these are permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
How long I keep it
- Quote requests that do not become jobs. About a year, then deleted.
- Customer and job records. Seven years, because tax and business records have to be kept.
- Job photos. Kept while you are a customer. Ask and I will delete yours.
- Server logs. Short retention on the host's normal cycle.
Your choices
Email shaunds1983@outlook.com and ask me to do any of the following. You do not need a reason and you will not be treated differently for asking.
- Tell you what I have about you.
- Correct anything wrong.
- Delete what I am not legally required to keep.
- Stop contacting you.
Colorado residents have specific rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including access, correction, deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal data. I do not sell personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the other rights apply and the email above is how to use them.
Texts and calls
If you give me your phone number, I will use it to reach you about your job. That includes texting you when I am running late or when weather moves your service, because that is the fastest way to actually reach a person. Reply STOP to any text and I will stop texting.
Children
This is a home services business. The site is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the effective date at the top changes and the new version goes up here. There is no archive of old versions because there has not yet been an old version.
