Cleaning in Centennial, from 1970s ranches to Arapahoe Road suites
Cleaning is where Centennial's thirty year spread bites hardest. A 1970s ranch near Cherry Knolls and a 1990s two story out toward Smoky Hill can read as the same square footage on a booking form and take nothing like the same time, because one of them is grout and glass and the other one is height. So I quote off photos of the rooms that eat the hours: the bathrooms, the kitchen, and whatever the stairs look like from the bottom.
What Cleaning work looks like in Centennial
- The blocks around Southglenn and Cherry Knolls went up in the sixties and seventies, and plenty of those ceilings are sprayed texture. Anything sprayed before about 1980 can contain asbestos, so I dust it dry with a pole and leave it at that. No scrubbing, no scraping, no water. Getting rid of it is an abatement job and not a cleaning job.
- Centennial has no single city water utility. Parts of town sit on different districts, some buying treated water and some drawing on Denver Basin wells, and the harder supply leaves a mineral film on glass shower doors and chrome that a normal wipe will not lift. Descaling that is a separate pass with time and an acid cleaner, and I quote it as its own line.
- The city does not run trash pickup, so every household contracts its own hauler and bin day changes street to street. That matters on a move out, because I cannot count on room in a bin for what comes out of a garage. I will tell you before I start what is going to fit and what needs a dump run.
- Out toward Smoky Hill the builds are late eighties through the two thousands, with vaulted entries and windows above the staircase. I clean those from a pole. Setting a ladder on stair treads is not something I will do, so if a fixture is genuinely out of reach I say so rather than improvise.
- Suite janitorial along Arapahoe and Dry Creek is a different scope than a house. The landlord usually owns the corridor, the lobby and the core restrooms, so my work stops at your door and the trash goes to a shared dumpster out back rather than a curb. Access is a fob and an alarm code the building has to issue you before the first night.

Of the three trades I do, cleaning is the crowded one in Centennial. The city has about as many cleaning businesses listed inside its own limits as lawn and AV combined, and the nearest one sits a fifth of a mile from the center of town. Two caveats belong with that. It is an upper bound, because the dataset says whether a business is still trading on only about three quarters of its records, and a fair share of what it counts is carpet, duct and industrial work rather than anyone who will clean your kitchen. I am the newest and smallest name on that list. What I have against it is the same person every visit and a number that reaches me.

Where these came from, so you can check them. They are counted from Overture Maps Places, an open business dataset, release 2026-08-19.0, as it stood on 2026-08-30. Overture says outright whether a business is still trading on about two thirds of its records, which is why there are two columns: the left one is what I can stand behind and the right one is the ceiling. Of the 958 businesses matched across all three trades, 0 in this trade are marked permanently closed. I would rather show you the seam in the data than round it off and sound certain.
Scheduling and getting there
Centennial rides on my southern run, so the easy slots are first thing in the morning or after five. A midday start usually means I am coming off a stop in Littleton or Highlands Ranch. Recurring house cleaning is priced per visit and holds a fixed weekday, which is most of the value of it. Move outs get a date rather than a window, and I need the power and the hot water still on, so do not have them shut off the day before. Deep cleans in the older west side houses run long because of grout and glass, and I would rather say that when you book than at hour four.
When I am the wrong call
If you close tomorrow and the house has to be empty and spotless by noon, hire a crew. One person gets through a four bedroom move out in most of a day, not in a morning, and no amount of scheduling fixes that. Carpet extraction and duct work I do not do at all, and that is a large share of what a cleaning search here returns. Four months in with no reviews to show you is also a fair reason to start me on something small.
