Home and commercial cleaning in Denver
A house clean holds me in one spot for three or four hours, which makes cleaning the one trade where being based in the city actually changes the math. No drive on either end means I can hold a real start time instead of a four hour window. Most of what I clean went up between about 1950 and 1965, which is what the southeast side is made of, and that stock has habits: original oak under whatever got laid over it, small tiled bathrooms, and very often a swamp cooler that has spent the summer pulling street dust through a wet pad and into the house.
What Cleaning work looks like in Denver
- Swamp coolers are still common in the older southeast neighborhoods, and they change what a deep clean is. Air pulled through a wet pad all summer leaves fine grit on sills, blinds, and the top of every door frame. If you run one, I start high and work down instead of leading with the floors.
- The ranches around Virginia Village and Washington Virginia Vale usually have original oak under the carpet, refinished a couple of times by now. I damp mop those with almost nothing on the pad. If you want floors that look glossy and wet when I leave, say so first, because that finish and standing water do not get along.
- A cleaning job parks my truck on your block for hours, which is a different problem than a mow. Parts of the older grid near Cherry Creek are permit zones that cap an unpermitted vehicle at a couple of hours. Tell me your street and whether you have a spot, and I sort it before the day rather than moving the truck mid job.
- Move out cleans generate trash, and Denver charges for residential collection by cart size, so leftovers are not free to make disappear. In the older neighborhoods the carts live in the alley, not at the curb. I will tell you up front what fits and what needs a run to a drop off, rather than cramming your cart and leaving you the problem.
- Small commercial work here is Cherry Creek North suites and the older buildings along Colorado and Leetsdale, usually upstairs with a shared trash room off the alley. Denver has its own waste rules pushing buildings toward compost and recycling next to the trash, so a nightly clean is often three streams instead of one. Put that in the scope so I am not guessing at the bin.

Cleaning is the most crowded of the three things I do, and Denver is the most crowded place to do it. On the order of 160 cleaning businesses list a Denver address, roughly a hundred more work the city from within five miles, and the closest one to the center sits about a fifth of a mile away. Around nine in ten have a website, so you are not picking between me and nobody. What I have is a book small enough to send the same person every visit, and the willingness to say when a bigger outfit fits you better.

Of the 958 businesses matched across all three trades, 0 in this trade are marked permanently closed. I would rather show you the seam in the data than round it off and sound certain.
Scheduling and getting there
There is no drive time to price into a Denver job, so I can take a seven in the morning start or a four in the afternoon one at the same rate. Deep cleans and move outs run long and get the whole day. Requests cluster twice a year here: May, when the coolers come back on and blow a winter of dust around, and January, when the ice melt off the street is on every hard floor by the door.
When I am the wrong call
I am one person, so I am wrong for a house that needs four people for six hours against a deadline. If you list Monday and need it done Friday, an outfit with crews will beat me and you should call one. Large commercial floors are out too. No ride on machines, no overnight crew. And I have no reviews yet, so if you need a stranger in your house to arrive with a wall of them, that is not me.
