I come out, look at the job, and give you a real number before anything starts. The visit is free and there is no trip charge. ## Pick a time Online scheduling is not switched on yet The self service calendar is coming. It is not here yet, and I would rather say that plainly than show you an empty box and let you wonder whether the site is broken. You get a confirmation email straight away with the time and my number. 2. I text the morning of the visit to confirm I am on my way. 3. I look at the job, ask a few questions, and give you a price. 4. If you want it done, we schedule it. If not, that is genuinely fine. ## Free, and no trip charge No trip charge, ever. Most jobs can be quoted from photos and a description without me coming out at all, which costs you nothing and is usually faster. If it does need eyes on it, the visit is still free. You are not paying for me to come look, and there is no pitch attached to it. Labor once work starts is $40 an hour with a 1 hour minimum. Snow does not keep office hours. ## How booking works ### 1. Pick a time Choose any open slot. Close-in cities usually have something the same week. Parker runs on set days, so pick from what the calendar offers rather than assuming a gap. ### 2. I come out I look at the actual property rather than quoting off a description. It is the only way to give you a number that holds. ### 3. Quoted or handled Small jobs I can often take care of on the spot, billed at the one hour minimum. Bigger ones get a written price and a date. ## Booking questions ### Is the visit really free? Yes. No trip charge, no estimate fee, no obligation. If I quote a job and you decide against it, you owe nothing and I will not chase you about it. You do not have to book a visit at all to get a number. Send photos and a description through [the contact form](https://spottedwood.com/contact/) and most jobs can be priced from that, with no visit and no money involved either way. The other option, if you would rather I just got on with it, is to book the one hour minimum and have me do real work during that hour instead of paying separately for someone to come and look. ### What if I need to reschedule? Use the link in your confirmation email, or just text me. Rescheduling costs nothing and I would much rather move a visit than have you sitting around waiting. ### Do I need to be there? For most estimates, yes, at least briefly. It is much easier to price work when I can ask you what you actually want. For lawn work I can often walk the property alone if you would rather not take the time. ### How far ahead should I book? Usually within the same week for the close-in cities. Seasonal work is different: sprinkler blowouts genuinely sell out every October, so book those early. If you are genuinely far out I will say so rather than book a visit I cannot service well. ## Not ready to pick a time?
